Deborah grew up in Franklin, Massachusetts, graduating from the Tri-county Vocational Technical High School in 1988. She is an elementary school art teacher. She and her family have lived in Knoxville, TN for only two years. She and her husband, Mark, have been married for 15 years and have three children, one son and two daughters. Her younger daughter, Tamarah, is in the Young Marines.
Robert Cunningham

Bob grew up in Knoxville, TN, graduating from Central High in 1970. He then enlisted in the Marine Corps and served until 1990, retiring as a Gunnery Sergeant. He served in Vietnam and numerous other countries. He was a recruiter in the late 1970’s, an instructor at Aviation Supply School in the early 1980’s, and he made two Mediterranean Cruises, one on the USS Forrestal (1972-1973) and the other on the USS Coral Sea (1984-1985), both while being stationed at Marine Corps Air Station, El Toro, CA. Bob and his current wife, Linda, have been married since 1997. He has two daughters.

Kyle Lawson

Kyle has lived in Blount County, TN his whole life. He graduated from Alcoa High School in 1962 and from Tennessee State Tech in 1964 with an associate’s degree in architecture. He also attended the University of Tennessee majoring in engineering. Kyle has worked since 1964 for the TN State Department of Economic and Community Development, first as a Planning Aide and then as a GIS Technical Supervisor. Kyle tried to enlist in the Marine Corps but was turned down for medical reasons. Kyle has two sons and two grandchildren. His younger son is in the Young Marines. Kyle attended the Regional Adult Leader Seminar in Charlotte, NC in March 2008.
Dan McNutt

Dan was born in Knoxville, TN but his family moved to California for many years, returning in 1973. He has lived in Knoxville or Maryville, TN since that time. He graduated from Doyle High School in 1977. He is currently a Boilermaker with the Boilermakers Union. He and his wife, Vicki, have been married for 15 years and have three sons, all of whom are in the Young Marines.
Vicki McNutt
Vicki grew up in Maryville, TN and graduated from Lanier High School in 1978. She also attended Pellissippi State Community College for 2 semesters. She is employed by Maryville College as the manager of the Maryville College Post Office. She has been married to her husband, Dan, since 1993 and has three boys, all of whom are in the Young Marines. She attended the Regional Adult Training session in Charlotte, NC in 2008.
Linda Morrow
Linda spent some time growing up in Ft. Rucker, AL and eastern Kentucky but most of her youth was spent in Kingsport, TN. She graduated from Dobyns-Bennet High School in Kingsport and also has taken classes at Draughon’s Community College and Knox Area State Vocational School. She has been a TN state employee for 22 years and currently works as a supervisor in the TN Department of Human Services. She has lived in Knoxville for thirty years. Linda is divorced and has three adult sons and a daughter. Her daughter is in the Young Marines.
Wendi Selvidge

Wendi has lived in Lenoir City, TN since she was 8 years old. She graduated from the Lenoir City High School in 1984 and is currently a substitute teacher for Lenoir City and Loudon County Schools. Wendi has been married to Steve Selvidge for 25 years and has one son, Kaleb, who is a member of the Young Marines.
Michelle Smith
Michelle grew up around Dickson, TN, graduating in 1985 from Dickson County High School and from Tennessee Tech University in 1990. She and her husband, Michael Smith, have been married for 19 years. They have three sons and three daughters – the three sons are in the Young Marines. Michelle is the home manager and home-school teacher to her six children. She became an adult leader in 2008.
David Sweany

David grew up in Massillon, OH and graduated from Washington High School in 1983. He also graduated from Computer Systems Training in 2002. He is a computer tech who has lived in Knoxville since 1999. He and his wife, Susie, have been married for seven years. David served seven years in the Marine Corps, four years on active duty and three year in the Marine Corps Reserves. He also served one year in the Tennessee Army National Guard.
