How to Make a Bequest to Our Unit

You may include our Unit as a part of your estate plans, helping to ensure the future of our unit for years to come. If you decide to include the Lt Alexander Bonnyman Unit in your estate plan, we ask that you let us know by completing our Gift Notification Form so we may have one of our officers thank you personally. In order to ensure your gift is designated for use by the Lt Alexander Bonnyman Unit, please use the following language for your designation:

  • Specific Bequest Amount: I give, devise and bequeath the specific amount of $__________ to the Young Marines, a nonprofit organization headquartered in Washington, DC, federal identification number 38-2346425. I further designate the bequest for use by the Lt Alexander Bonnyman Unit of the Young Marines, Knoxville, TN [for the purpose of __________]. If at the time of this bequest the Lt Alexander Bonnyman Unit is no longer in existence, the bequest may be used at the discretion of the Young Marines National Headquarters in Washington, DC.
  • Residual Bequest: I give, devise and bequeath _______% of my residual estate to the Young Marines, a nonprofit organization headquartered in Washington, DC, federal identification number 38-2346425. I further designate the bequest for use by the Lt Alexander Bonnyman Unit of the Young Marines, Knoxville, TN [for the purpose of __________]. If at the time of this bequest the Lt Alexander Bonnyman Unit is no longer in existence, the bequest may be used at the discretion of the Young Marines National Headquarters in Washington, DC.
